I recently got the extended probe. I have noticed that I have to turn the mA up all the way and it’s not uncomfortable. The probe that came with the unit seemed much stronger. I was only able to turn it up to between 40-60. I replaced the battery but didn’t notice any difference. Is it working effectively?

The reason the Extended Probe became so popular is because it is so comfortable! By moving the electrode rings farther from the vaginal opening, the current is more focused on the pelvic floor rather than activating the more sensitive nerves around the opening. This will allow you to comfortably work at a higher mA level. Your toner is still delivering the exact same level of current as it always has. You can see this more clearly by performing a palm test. Just be aware that the palm is extremely sensitive compared to the vaginal canal so going too high in the palm will be uncomfortable.
Hold the probe in the palm of your hand with both metal rings pressed to skin and power on your unit. Turn up the mA’s slowly. That is the level of current being delivered to the pelvic floor. The toner does not rely on a nerve response to activate your muscles. The current acts directly on the surrounding muscles to force them to contract.
If you prefer to activate the muscles around the vaginal opening then you can move the probe out to a more shallow depth. To keep it at a shallow depth you may wrap the probe wires loosely around a washcloth and then tuck the cloth between your legs to hold the probe in the exact position you prefer.
