Was wondering if you would have some insight on dealing with a rectocele. I have both the vaginal and rectal probe, but so far have only been using the vaginal probe on setting P8. Do you think the rectal probe would be better suited for a rectocele? I'm a little nervous to start using it.

The rectum and vaginal canal run through the pelvic floor. Whether you address it from the vagina or rectum, you are stimulating the same muscle. There may be a small added benefit for women using both vaginal and rectal stimulation, but it's a trial and error type situation to know whether you will receive that benefit or not depending on the issue you are suffering as well as your unique anatomy. The rectum is more sensitive so we always suggest starting with the vaginal probe. Give it time to strengthen the surrounding muscles. Practice awareness of your pelvic floor, keeping the perineum drawn up as often as possible and not just letting it soften and fall. Be an active supporter and don't rely solely on the pelvic floor to automatically do the work. And above all, be patient. It takes time and consistency for muscles to gain strength.
