I recently mentioned in a previous post that I felt like I had hit a plateau in the progress I'd made, but over the last several days, I've actually started regressing and having a lot of leakage and urge incontinence. I've been using the toner for about 10 weeks and I always use P08 in the mornings and either P01 or P03 at night. I'm up to 99 on all of them. I'm not sure what to do now. I don't know if this is normal or if I should increase the power of the programs I'm using or if I am over using. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Whenever you notice a change in symptoms, it is best to err on the side of caution. I would first like to encourage you to see your doctor of PT to discuss what you are experiencing. But, besides that, let's address strength and usage. In new users, or people who have made a recent adjustment to strength or daily use, I would say the symptoms might be an indication of exhausted muscles. If you keep your muscles in a constant state of breakdown without the needed rest required to rebuild, then you may begin experiencing an increase in symptoms. If you have been using your toner twice a day for weeks at a consistent strength and are suddenly seeing symptoms then this is less likely to be the cause.
Once you have determined that there are no medical reasons for this change by talking with your doctor, you can pursue these two options to see if one works to get you back on track. The first is to decrease usage. You don't need to reduce the mA's you are working at, but start skipping days to give your body an extra day to rest and recover. Do this for at least two weeks to see how your body responds. If you are not seeing improvement then you can move on to increasing to a stronger program. Create a custom program to use once every other day for two weeks, then move on to daily for two weeks to see how your body responds to the added work. One of my favorite custom settings is 25 minute program, 50 Hz, 250 uS, 15 second work, 10 second rest. Please feel free to play with those numbers, just remember that the Hz corresponds to how many muscle contractions per second, so the higher the number, the tighter your muscle will contract. And uS corresponds to depth. The lower the number, the more shallow the muscles you will be focusing on, and higher is deeper. There is no telling where the issue is stemming from so don't assume that cranking all the settings up is the best way to go. Make small adjustments for the best results. Also, remember that diet and weight are going to affect your symptoms. Foods and beverages with caffeine can increase symptoms as well as weight gain. The most important factor is staying positive! With a bit of sleuthing you will find out what your body needs.
